The compiled Cape register at the G6 union (WikiTree, Cape of Good Hope project profiles Joosten-337 and Joosten-89, read 2026-08-26): Jacobus Petrús Joosten m. Súsanna Alida Theron, TULBAGH, 7 JULY 1811 (the church register cited to its image: Tulbagh marriages 1744–1922, image 141, entry 21; he a WIDOWER of Christina Visser) — the G6 year the record lacked, at compiled tier with the primary's address named. Her parents: Charel Wynand Theron (1772–1820) + Sara Roux — THE THERON BRIDGE LEAD. And at the same read, the G8 marriage cited to Drakenstein marriages 1739 p34 (11 October 1739, Drakenstein DRC) with a DOCUMENTED READING DISPUTE on the bride's surname: the printed canon (De Villiers/Pama 1966, Vol 1 Joosten p381) reads ROOIJ; the profile community's reading of the register page photo reads RAATS

Chain of custody

  1. origin: WikiTree Cape of Good Hope (1652–1806) project profiles, whose stated sources are: the Tulbagh DRC parish registers via FamilySearch (ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CSVD-5S44-6, 'Parish registers for the Dutch Reformed Church at Tulbagh 1743-1972': Baptisms image 592 of 794; Marriages 1744-1922 image 141) · a personal photo of Drakenstein marriage records 1739 p34 (Ronel Olivier collection, photo attached to Joosten-89) · the eGGSA Stellenbosch baptism transcription G2 4/1 p59 · De Villiers/Pama, Genealogies of Old Cape Families (1966) Vol 1 Joosten p381 · Heese/Lombard, South African Genealogies (GISA) · the GSSA SA Family Registers 2018
  2. method: The two profile pages read whole in the browser (text captured); every load-bearing fact recorded WITH the profile's own citation so the primary is addressable; nothing image-verified by this record's eye yet — that is the lane's founder half, and the tier says so
  3. intermediary: No images vendored (the register images sit behind FamilySearch authentication; the profile's attached photo is a private collection). This item is the compiled READING plus the primary ADDRESSES.

The engagement record for this source (what was read, by whom, what it settled and what it left open) is kept in the record's repository as SRC-2026-085/source.md; this page carries what the register states about the source. All sources.
