J. B. Rietstap — Armorial Général Vol. 2 (Gouda 1884), printed page 602 (leaf 616), the Roo- run read at the page: van ROOY (Holl.) — 'D'arg. à un sauvage, tenant une lance de sa.' — VERIFYING Pama's AG citation at AG itself (the savage-with-lance coat Pama p. 253 attributes to the 1858 van Rooy family); and van ROOYEN (Heusden) — a QUARTERED coat (millrind sable in 1; lions; crampons azure in 4) — ENTIRELY DIFFERENT from the coat the Cape van Rooyen family bears per Pama p. 61 (three chevrons couped, greyhounds): the borne coat and the register coat differ at the same surname, the day's class in one leaf. Neighbourhood read whole (Roorda → Röpecke): no other entries at the Rooy/Rooij forms
