C. Pama — Heraldry of South African Families (A. A. Balkema, Cape Town, 1972), read at the page on the founder's own archive.org loan (R5): the SOUTH AFRICAN canon reached for the first time. Four houses read with Pama's numbered notes resolved: van RENSBURG (roll p. 248 — the castle coat; note [584] = 'BR 2.11.1945. Civic arms of the city of Rendtsburg in Northern Germany' — the canon's own apparatus undercuts the family attribution); van ROOYEN (p. 61 — three chevrons couped, greyhounds, 'at present borne by the family'; note [334] = Loxton p. 48 + BR 9.11.1945 + the London stained-glass memorial d. 1686; stem Gorinchem arr. 1713, Drakenstein marriages) vs van ROOY (p. 253 — the savage with lance, AG; stem arrived 1858, chronologically EXCLUDED for the record's G8); GELDENHUYS (p. 152 — the per-pale composite; note [481] = 'BR 16.3.1945'; stamvader Albert Barend of Burgsteinfurt, Westphalia, burgher 1661 — contradicting the queued 'Cornelis 1659' lead); THERON second take (p. 68, the founder's own find — 'Azure, a halberd to the sinister argent', Bell seal 194 from the Koopmans De Wet House: a USE-vector against Rietstap's attribution-vector — and the entry independently confirms the record's Languedoc candidacy basis with ship and year, 'Oosterland' 1688). Key p. 314: AG = Rietstap; BR = Die Brandwag — the same 1945 series as the family's own Jooste column (SRC-2026-063), four for four across today's houses
